For the Day of Immunology 2026, yBIS presents “Guardians of immune balance: voices from the yBIS community”, a short video created during the 3rd Annual Meeting of yBIS.
In this video, invited speakers and attendees reflect on the role of regulatory T cells and oral tolerance in maintaining immune balance, explaining key concepts in an accessible way for a broad audience.
The video features contributions from Arthi Shanmugavadivu, MSCA postdoctoral researcher at VIB–UAntwerp; Alba Sánchez Montalvo, postdoctoral researcher at CIMA (University of Navarra) and science communicator at Inmunominuto; and Alicia López Bruzos, principal investigator at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology.
Through scientific insights and personal reflections, the video highlights the importance of immunology and immune regulation in health and disease.
