Senescence in Aging and Pathology (SenAP) symposium

We proudly announce the second edition of the ‘Senescence in Aging and Pathology (SenAP) symposium’, taking place on October 7th 2025, in Diepenbeek (Embuild building). This symposium is organised by PhD students from Hasselt University.

The symposium focuses on the fascinating topic of cellular senescence, which has gained significant attention in recent years due to its emerging role across multiple research fields. This year, we will explore the involvement of senescence in neurodegenerative diseases, cancer resistance, environmental factors, and aging. You can look forward to an exciting and diverse day featuring several experienced speakers from across Europe, offering insights into different aspects of cellular senescence.

Confirmed speakers are Prof. Dr. Mario Pende (Université Paris Cité, France), Prof. Dr. Mikael Simons (Technical University Munich, Germany), Prof. Dr. Oliver Robinson (Imperial College Londen, UK) and Dr. Boshi Wang (University of Groningen, The Netherlands). In addition to the keynote lectures, we offer young researchers the opportunity to present their work through oral or poster presentations.

The REGISTRATION DEADLINE is approaching for SenAP 2025
