YoungBIS

On May 9th, 2025 the yBIS 2nd Annual Meeting took place at Gasthuisberg, KU Leuven. Almost 200 young immunologists from all over Belgium gathered to celebrate and engage in science. Between inspiring keynotes (Helena Aegerter, UGent; Paulien Baeten, UHasselt; Jennifer Vandooren, KULeuven KULAK) and oral abstract presentations, participants could engage with our sponsors at the booths and network during our poster session. Talks on science communication and how to battle misinformation (Andreas Huysmans, UGent) and a career panel discussion moderated by yBIS Spokesperson Hind Hussein, completed this successful day.

This year, we again highlighted the importance of sharing results that are not in line with expectations, as this is important data too that will help advance science.

Best Negative Data Award: Amber Wouters (KU Leuven)
