Back from two intense days at the BIS-NVVI joint annual meeting in Antwerp. A few take-aways from our Spokesperson, Hind Hussein, below:
It was Young Belgian Immunological Society’s first day out in the real world! Thanks for those of you who took the time to come by and chat. It is really nice to put faces on names and to actually hear that all our efforts are appreciated. Stay tuned for our upcoming events.
You might have heard it but yBIS has merch now. I am currently wearing the yBIS pin and I am never taking it off. Come and get your own at our next event 😏
This year, yBIS also participated in selecting awardees for the Bright Sparks award and the best poster awards. Congrats to all the awardees!
Thanks everyone for attending the BIS general assembly. We’re working on restructuring the board, building the website, and trying to foster a more active community in the future. If you get ahold on any of the board members, please share your suggestions with them and don’t be afraid to get involved!
Thank you to BioLegend, Assay Genie and Sony Biotechnology Inc. reps for the chats, tech support and cool gadgets! Many thanks to the organisers and looking forward to the next opportunities to collaborate!
